Our 2% Ceriated Tungsten TIG Electrodes offer welders a dependable, all‑purpose TIG electrode solution suitable for a broad range of metals — including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium and alloy steels. The cerium‑oxide alloy boosts electron emission, giving excellent arc starting characteristics, stable welding arcs at low to moderate current, and reliable performance on both AC and DC TIG machines.
Available in various diameters and lengths, these electrodes give you flexibility to choose the right size for thin‑sheet work, tank welding, fabrication, or general workshop TIG jobs.
Conforms to ANSI/AWS A5 12-92 - BS EN 150 6848:2015
Key Features
2% Cerium‑Oxide Tungsten Alloy (Ceriated) — Non‑radioactive and safe for everyday use, while offering superior arc‑start ease, stable arcs and low burn‑off compared with pure tungsten.
Excellent Arc Start Even at Low Currents — Great for fine work, thin metal or light gauge TIG welding where control and precision matter.
Versatile AC & DC Compatibility — Works well under both alternating current and direct current setups, giving flexibility across materials and TIG machines.
Good for Multiple Metals — Suitable for carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and non‑ferrous alloys depending on shielding–gas and TIG setup, making these electrodes a versatile shop staple.
Multiple Sizes Available — Choose from a range of electrode diameters and lengths to match your TIG torch, current settings and material thickness — ideal for thin sheet, pipe work, or structural TIG jobs.
