This ER 70S‑6 / W42 4 3Si1 TIG wire is a copper-coated, high manganese and silicon wire engineered for low-alloy and C-Mn steels. Its enhanced deoxidising power makes it perfect for welding dirty, greasy, or lightly oxidised surfaces where stringent cleaning isn’t possible.
The high silicon content increases weld pool fluidity, producing smooth weld beads with minimal post-weld grinding, while the wire maintains excellent mechanical properties at sub-zero temperatures down to –40 °C.
