The Weld Star Alloy 825 (NiFeCr-1) TIG wire is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy filler engineered for TIG (GTAW) welding of Incoloy® 825 and similar nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys. This wire delivers excellent corrosion resistance in both oxidising and reducing environments, making it well suited to challenging applications — from chemical processing and petrochemical systems to paper manufacturing and power generation.
It’s also ideal for overlay cladding, where matching chemical composition is vital, and produces a fully austenitic weld metal with high resistance to stress corrosion cracking, especially in chloride-containing media.

Recommended Shielding Gas: Use with 100% argon (I1 per EN ISO 14175) for optimal TIG performance and weld protection.
Workshop-Friendly Packaging: Supplied on 5kg spools with common TIG diameters 2.40mm and 3.20mm; each spool 1000mm in length.
