The Weld Star Alloy C22 (ERNiCrMo-10) TIG wire is a high-performance nickel-chromium-molybdenum TIG filler designed for welding Alloy C22 and other corrosion-resistant nickel alloys such as Alloy 625, Alloy 825 and Alloy 926. It delivers weld deposits that excel in stress corrosion cracking resistance, pitting corrosion resistance and crevice corrosion resistance, making it ideal for the most demanding environments.

This filler is widely used for overlays, cladding of lower alloy steels, and dissimilar welding between super-austenitic alloys and stainless or low-alloy steels, particularly where aggressive corrosive media are encountered — such as chemical processing, offshore and petrochemical plants.

Key Features

Premium Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy: Specially formulated for joining nickel alloy materials including C22, 625, 825 and 926 — providing robust corrosion resistance.

Outstanding Corrosion Resistance: Weld metal shows excellent resistance against stress corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion — essential for severe corrosive environments.

Dissimilar Welding Capable: Suitable for welding nickel alloys to austenitic stainless steels and lower alloy steels, making it flexible for complex fabrications.

Overlay & Cladding Use: Extensively used for cladding or overlay welding on lower alloy steels to enhance surface corrosion resistance.

High Strength Weld Metal: Typical deposited weld metal exhibits high tensile strength and ductility suitable for demanding structural applications.

Standards Compliance: Conforms to EN ISO 18274 – Ni 6022 (NiCr21Mo13Fe4W3) and AWS A5.14 ERNiCrMo-10 classifications for consistent chemical and mechanical performance.

Recommended Shielding Gas: Best performance with 100 % argon shielding (I1) — helping ensure a clean, stable TIG arc and excellent weld quality.

Multi-Size Availability: Provided in workshop-friendly diameters such as 1.60mm, 2.40mm and 3.20mm on 5kg spools with 1000mm lengths — ideal for varied TIG fabrication tasks.
