The Weld Star Alloy C276 (ERNiCrMo-4) TIG wire is a high-performance nickel-chromium-molybdenum TIG filler designed for welding Alloy C276 and similar corrosion-resistant nickel alloys. Also known as Hastelloy C-276, this material and its corresponding TIG consumable are renowned for outstanding resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting and crevice corrosion in both oxidising and reducing environments.

Ideal for demanding industrial environments, this filler wire produces clean, ductile welds with high mechanical strength and excellent metallurgical integrity. It’s commonly used in sectors where durability and corrosion resistance are essential, such as chemical processing, offshore oil & gas, pressure vessels, marine engineering and power generation.

Key Features

Premium Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum Alloy: Specifically formulated for welding Alloy C276 (AWS ERNiCrMo-4) and compatible high-alloy nickel base materials.

Outstanding Corrosion Protection: Exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion and stress corrosion cracking, even in harsh chemical environments.

High Mechanical Strength: Typical weld deposits show high tensile strength (~690 MPa) and robust performance in demanding service conditions.

Versatile Welding: Suitable for TIG (GTAW) welding of nickel alloys to themselves or to stainless steels and certain dissimilar combinations where corrosion resistance and weld integrity are required.

Stable Arc & Gas Shielding: Best performance with 100 % argon shielding gas (I1 per EN ISO 14175) for clean, controlled TIG welding.

Standards Compliance: Conforms to AWS A5.14 ERNiCrMo-4 and EN ISO 18274 – Ni 6276 / NiCr15Mo16Fe6W4 classifications, ensuring consistent chemical and performance properties.

Multi-Size Availability: Provided in workshop-friendly diameters such as 1.60mm, 2.40mm and 3.20mm on 5kg spools with 1000mm lengths — ideal for varied TIG fabrication tasks.
