The 45A Precision Cut Tip is the specialised solution for "FineCut" style applications on high amperage Hypertherm Powermax systems. While your Powermax 65, 85, or 105 is a powerhouse, standard 65A or 85A tips are often too aggressive for intricate work on thin gauge materials. This 45A Precision Tip constricts the plasma arc into an ultra fine column, delivering the narrowest possible kerf and a virtually dross free edge.
It is the industry standard for CNC plate nesting and detailed manual fabrication on carbon steel and stainless steel under 3mm (10 gauge). By using a smaller, more focused orifice, this tip allows for tighter radiuses and sharper corners, effectively giving your high powered industrial plasma system the delicacy of a much smaller machine.
