The PT-80 Back Striking Cutting Tip series is engineered for the demands of industrial fabrication. Designed for the Trafimet PT-80 (and iPT-80) torch series, these tips utilise advanced Back Striking (Blow Back) technology. By initiating the pilot arc through internal electrode movement, these tips eliminate high frequency (HF) interference, making them the standard choice for CNC operators and workshops using modern inverter plasma power sources.
Available in three precision bored sizes to match your specific amperage requirements:
- 1.1mm (50-60A): The "all rounder" for clean, high speed cutting on medium gauge steel.
- 1.2mm (60-70A): Increased flow for structural plate and heavier fabrication duties.
- 1.3mm (70-80A): Maximum power for the PT-80 series, ideal for thick sections and high amperage parting.
Precision machined from high conductivity copper, these tips ensure excellent thermal dissipation, maintaining a sharp orifice for squarer cuts and reduced dross accumulation.
Key Features
PT-80 & iPT-80 Compatibility: Guaranteed direct fit for Trafimet-style 80A torches, ensuring seamless integration.
Back Striking Ignition: Reliable, non HF arc starting, safe for CNC electronics and digital workshop equipment.
Optimised Amperage Ranges: Specifically sized to provide the best gas to current ratio for 50A, 60A, and 80A settings.
Industrial Copper Construction: High thermal and electrical conductivity prevents "rounding" of the orifice under heavy loads.
Laminar Flow Design: Engineered internal geometry reduces arc turbulence, resulting in a narrower kerf and cleaner edges.
Consistent Performance: Built to withstand long duration industrial cutting cycles without degrading cut quality.
