The Weld Star ER110S-G TIG Wire (Mn3Ni1CrMo) is a high-strength, copper-coated filler developed for TIG (GTAW) welding of low-alloy and high-yield structural steels where superior mechanical performance is required. Designed for both single-pass and multi-pass welding, it delivers strong, crack-resistant welds in demanding fabrication environments.
With excellent impact toughness down to -40 °C, this wire is well suited to critical structural and pressure-bearing applications. It is commonly used in offshore fabrication, metalworking, and the chemical and petrochemical industries where weld integrity and toughness are essential.
Key Features
High-Strength Low-Alloy Filler: ER110S-G (Mn3Ni1CrMo) designed for steels requiring high tensile and yield strength.
Excellent Low-Temperature Toughness: Maintains strong impact resistance (70 J) at temperatures down to -40 °C.
Crack-Resistant Weld Metal: Alloyed with nickel, chromium and molybdenum for enhanced resistance to cold cracking.
Suitable for Critical Applications: Ideal where tough, reliable weld metal is required for safety-critical structures.
Single or Multi-Pass Welding: Performs consistently across both single-run and layered weld procedures.
Consistent Quality: Manufactured from virgin raw materials by specialised steel mills for reliable chemistry and performance.
Standards Compliance: EN ISO 16834-A – Mn3Ni1CrMo | AWS A5.28 – ER110S-G.
Typical Chemical Composition (%): C: 0.08 | Si: 0.60 | Mn: 1.60 | Cr: 0.30 | Ni: 1.50 | Mo: 0.30 | P & S: <0.015 | Cu: <0.25 | Al: <0.03 | V: 0.10 | Ti, Zr: <0.05.
Mechanical Properties (Typical): Tensile Strength: 800 MPa | Yield Strength: 750 MPa | Elongation: 19% | Impact Strength: 70 J @ -40 °C (Values may vary depending on welding parameters, base material and shielding gas).
