The Weld Star ER308L Stainless Steel TIG Wire (Low Carbon) is an austenitic filler wire designed for welding 300 series stainless steels where intergranular corrosion resistance is essential. Its low carbon content reduces the risk of carbide precipitation while maintaining excellent toughness and mechanical performance at sub-zero temperatures down to –197 °C.
This wire provides reliable corrosion resistance in nitric acid environments and is ideal for applications requiring good atmospheric corrosion protection in urban and rural conditions. Commonly used in pipes, tubes, boiler engineering, food processing, and chemical industries, it delivers predictable, high-quality results in demanding stainless steel welding projects.
Key Features
Low Carbon Austenitic Alloy: Minimises intergranular carbide precipitation while increasing corrosion resistance.
