The Weld Star ER347Si Stainless Steel TIG Wire is a niobium-stabilised austenitic filler wire designed to resist intergranular chromium carbide precipitation, significantly improving resistance to intergranular corrosion. This makes it especially suitable for welding stainless steels that are stabilised with niobium or titanium, such as grades 321 and 347.
With increased silicon content to enhance weld pool fluidity, ER347Si produces smooth, well-shaped weld beads and excellent mechanical performance. It is commonly used in high-temperature service environments, particularly where components are subjected to intermittent heating between 400°C and 800°C, such as in chemical processing equipment, pressure vessels, and industrial plant fabrication.

Shielding Gas: TIG – I1 (Argon) per EN ISO 14175.
Welding Positions: PA, PB, PC, PD, PE, PF, PG per EN ISO 6947.
Workshop-Friendly Packaging: Available in TIG diameters 1.60 mm, 2.40 mm and 3.20 mm, supplied in 5 kg packs with 1000 mm rod length for professional workshop and site use.
