This Resettable Oxygen Flashback Arrestor is a must-have safety device for any oxy-fuel welding, cutting or brazing setup. It’s designed to extinguish flashbacks and prevent flames or pressure surges from travelling back up the gas line — protecting not only the torch and hoses, but also the regulator and gas cylinder. Whether you use oxygen with acetylene, propane or other fuel gases, this arrestor adds a vital layer of protection.
The resettable mechanism means after a flashback or pressure event the device can be safely restored - making it ideal for repeated use in workshops, fabrication yards or mobile cutting rigs.
Conforming to EN 730-1 and ISO 5175, the device stops flashback through flame arrestor (FA). Avoiding dangerous gas mixtures by a gas non return valve (NV). A temperature sensitive cut off valve stops the gas flow when a pre-determined temperature is exceeded (TV). Every safety device is 100% tested before shipping and a dust filter is installed to protect the gas non return valve against contamination.
Key Features
Flame-Quenching Element (Flame Arrestor): A sintered metal/ceramic barrier extinguishes any backward flame wave, stopping flame propagation toward regulators or gas sources.
Gas Non-Return Valve (Check Valve): Prevents reverse flow of gases, avoiding dangerous mixing of gases or back-feeding into supply lines.
Fast-Acting Thermal Cut-Off Valve: If the internal temperature rises above a safe threshold (typically ~100 °C), the valve automatically shuts off gas flow — protecting against sustained fire or overheating.
Pressure-Sensitive Cut-Off Valve: Detects sudden pressure surges (such as from a flashback) and immediately stops gas supply, preventing further hazards until the unit is manually reset.
Inlet Dirt Filter: Helps prevent contaminants or debris from damaging internal valves or the flame arrestor - prolonging lifespan and reliability.
Standard Connection (3/8″ BSP): Compatible with most regulators and cylinders, for simple installation without special adapters.
Resets After Triggered Event: Unlike non-resettable flashback arrestors, this model can be reset after activation — making it suitable for heavy-use workshops or professional shops.
