The Weld Star HF600B electrodes are heavy-duty, basic-coated, low-hydrogen hardfacing rods - designed to deposit tough, wear-resistant overlay welds onto unalloyed or low-alloy steels. They are ideal for refurbishing or surfacing components exposed to severe abrasion and impact such as bucket edges, excavator teeth, crusher jaws, conveyor screws, drilling bits, and other heavy-duty equipment parts.

These electrodes give you a reliable hardfacing solution - extending the service life of worn parts, improving durability under harsh working conditions, and saving replacement costs by restoring worn steel.

Conforms to standards DIN 8555 - E6-UM-60P

Key Features

Hardfacing & Wear Resistance: Deposits a hard overlay with weld-metal hardness around 57–64 HRC, giving strong resistance to abrasion, impact and wear for heavy-duty applications.

Low-Hydrogen, Basic-Coated: Minimises hydrogen-induced cracking risk — making it safer for weld overlays on wear-parts and repair works.

All-Position & AC / DC+ Compatible: Suitable for flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead welding positions (depending on electrode size) — giving flexibility for various repair and fabrication tasks.

High Metal Recovery & Tough Deposit: Produces a dense, tough weld deposit that stands up to impact, abrasion and heavy loads — perfect for machinery parts, buckets, crushers and wear-parts.

Bulk 5 kg Pack – Suitable for Workshop & Repair Work: Large pack size makes this electrode cost-effective for repeat repairs, heavy use or large hardfacing jobs, reducing downtime and frequent re-ordering.
