If you want to use a smaller, more precise torch body, such as a WP9, WP17, WP20, or the micro WP24, within that same ergonomic handle, this reducing bush is required.
It acts as a spacer that centres the torch head perfectly within the handle shell, providing a rock solid connection. Without the bush, smaller torch heads will "float" inside the handle, causing arc instability and hand fatigue as you fight to keep the torch head steady.
