Weld Star Dual Core 81 R (Seamless) Wire [16kg Spool]

The Weld Star Dual Core 81 R is a high performance, seamless rutile flux cored wire (FCAW) designed for welding high strength, low alloy steels. While it shares the "fast freezing" slag benefits of the 71 R for all positional work, the 81 R is specifically alloyed with approximately 1% Nickel to ensure exceptional mechanical integrity in arctic and cryogenic environments.

The seamless construction acts as a permanent moisture barrier, guaranteeing ultra low diffusible hydrogen levels (< 3ml / 100g) even after long term storage or exposure. This virtually eliminates the risk of cold cracking in thick section structural joints. With a very stable arc, low spatter, and a self detaching slag, it produces X-ray quality welds with a superior bead appearance. Supplied on a 16kg BS300 spool, it is the industry standard for offshore platforms, ice class vessels, and high pressure pipelines.
