Weld Star ER 307Si Stainless Wire [15kg Spool]

The Weld Star ER 307Si is an austenitic stainless steel MIG wire uniquely alloyed with a significant amount of Manganese (6% Mn). This specific chemistry creates a fully austenitic weld metal that offers exceptional mechanical strength and world class crack resistance. It is widely considered the industry standard for welding high performance exhaust systems (Types 409 and 304) and armour plating.

Beyond specialised fabrication, ER 307Si is a versatile "buffer" alloy. It is ideal for depositing stress relaxing layers on crack sensitive base metals before hard facing, and for joining dissimilar metals like carbon steel to stainless steel. The increased Silicon (Si) content ensures excellent weld pool fluidity, delivering a smooth, high quality deposit with a professional appearance. Precision layer wound on 15kg D300 spools, it provides the superior feeding characteristics required for complex industrial and automotive assemblies.
