The Weld Star ER 347Si is an austenitic stainless steel MIG wire engineered for high performance welding in chemically aggressive and high temperature environments. This specialised alloy is stabilised with Niobium (Nb), which effectively prevents chromium carbide precipitation. This metallurgical safeguard ensures the weld remains resistant to intergranular corrosion, even when exposed to service temperatures between 400°C and 800°C.

Designed with an increased silicon content, the ER 347Si offers enhanced weld pool fluidity, resulting in a significantly smoother bead appearance and better wetting action. It is the definitive choice for the fabrication of firewalls, pressure vessels, and equipment in the dairy and food processing industries. Supplied on a 15kg D300 spool, the wire is precision layer wound to guarantee the consistent, reliable feeding required for critical stainless steel joins.
