The Weld Star ER 5356 (AlMg5) is a high quality aluminium solid MIG wire alloyed with 5% Magnesium. This is the most widely used aluminium welding wire for structural applications due to its high tensile strength and exceptional resistance to atmospheric and marine corrosion.

Designed for welding 5xxx series and 6xxx series aluminum alloys, the 5356 wire provides a "whiter" weld finish that is an excellent match for anodizing. Unlike the softer 4043 wire, 5356 is stiffer, which aids in significantly better wire feeding characteristics through longer MIG torches. Whether you are building boat hulls, automotive frames, or structural architectural components, Weld Star ER 5356 delivers the metallurgical integrity and feed ability required for professional aluminium fabrication.
