The Stubby TIG Collet in 5/64" (2.0mm) is a precision consumable designed for fabricators who demand a specific arc characteristic for their TIG applications. Built for WP18 (Water Cooled) and WP26 (Air Cooled) torches, this collet is a key component of the "Stubby" conversion system. It allows these large, high capacity torches to utilise the smaller, 13N series low profile nozzles and gas lenses, dramatically reducing the torch head's height.

Machined from high conductivity tellurium copper, this collet provides an exact, concentric fit for 2.0mm (5/64") tungsten electrodes. This intermediate size is often favoured in high precision automated welding or specialised alloy fabrication where a 1.6mm electrode might overheat, but a 2.4mm electrode is too blunt for the required arc focus. By shrinking the torch profile, the stubby configuration gives you the freedom to weld in confined spaces while maintaining the thermal endurance of your heavy duty torch body.
